Remove a header from a new Google Sites page and add a page header back

Delete page header
Hover your mouse over the page header and the Delete header icon (looks like a rubbish bin or trash can ) will appear on the left of the header
Click the Delete header icon and the header will disappear
Add page header
Add page header
Hover your mouse over the top of the page the Add header button will appear in the middle of the page
Click the Add header button and the default header for your theme will appear with the page title in it set to the Title format

When you remove or add a header it only affects the page you are on: new Google Sites does not offer site-wide page headers
