How to set the site logo and navigation background colour to transparent, white or black in new Google Sites

Instructions
Navigation Settings: Created by Google Theme
Note: these instructions only apply to sites that use a theme Created by Google. If you want to choose any colour upgrade to a Custom Theme.
Use the Settings (looks like a cog/gear) near the Publish button
Choose the Navigation option
Choose the Colour from one of these options:
Transparent
White
Black
The navigation and site logo background colour will change to the chosen colour.
Close the Settings dialogue box.
Use the Publish button to make the changes live.
